THE CHALLENGE

Where they were when they came to us

Finatoniq runs a wealth-management and mutual-fund advisory business — and a business like that lives or dies on how well it manages clients, teams and the day-to-day activity around investments. Off-the-shelf CRMs were not built for how an advisory actually works: sales and service officers with different responsibilities, clients that move between them, meetings and follow-ups that must be logged and accounted for, expense claims that need proper approval, targets tracked against actuals, and the mutual-fund calculators advisors use every day. They needed a system built around their business, not the other way round — and taking something that involved from concept all the way to a working product is a long, daunting journey.

THE APPROACH

What we actually did

We started with the business, not the code — mapping exactly how Finatoniq operates and what each role needs to see and do, then structuring the platform so it could grow with them. OSAT Wealth CRM is a custom Laravel application with role-based access at its core: five roles, each scoped to its own data, from officers to team admins to the business owner.

Around that we built the workflows the business actually runs on — client profiles with portfolio, meeting history and tasks; officers who own and can transfer clients; meetings and follow-ups that automatically create tasks and require a proper closure reason; an approval flow for travel and expense claims; SIP and Lumpsum targets tracked against actuals with Excel import and export; and a full suite of mutual-fund calculators and research tools. Clients even get their own portal to log in and see their portfolio, SIPs, statements and meeting schedule.

THE RESULTS

What changed for the business

Finatoniq now runs its advisory on one system built for exactly how it works. Officers manage clients and log activity in a structured, accountable way, team admins approve claims and oversee targets, the owner has visibility across all of it, and clients get a portal of their own — nothing scattered across spreadsheets or off-the-shelf tools that do not quite fit.

And because we structured it to scale from day one, the platform grows with the business as new requirements come up, rather than needing to be rebuilt.

★★★★★

"Virtunize made an otherwise long, arduous concept-to-execution journey simple — understanding exactly what our wealth-management CRM needed to manage teams and blend calculators, and structuring it to scale as requirements grow. Customer-centric and completely on top of the tech. Kudos to Samar and the team."

TAKEAWAYS

What we learned that you can apply

For a real business system, the hard part is not the code — it is understanding the business well enough to model it correctly, and structuring it so it can grow. Time spent up front mapping roles, workflows and data ownership is what turns a daunting concept-to-execution journey into something manageable, and it is what lets the platform scale later instead of being reworked. Build around how the business actually operates, and the software earns its keep.
